About Simple Cohort
Simple Cohort is the software practice of Sean Robenalt — a technologist, consultant, advisor, and investor based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
For the past decade Sean has built custom software for teams large and small — web, iOS, and Android, from the user interface down to servers and database design.
Simple Cohort also helps small businesses adopt AI safely and practically — from automating manual workflows to building secure MCP servers that make existing business tools available to LLMs without exposing sensitive systems or data.
Alongside client work, Simple Cohort ships its own apps: Shepherd, a Bible app with an AI study companion; With Fasting, an intermittent fasting tracker; and Snag, a civic app for reporting local problems.
Sean also writes occasional checks into early-stage startups, mostly in biotech. If you want to build something together, get in touch.
